Think of every leftist you know: they’re miserable.
You cannot fight with a leftist or harm them, and you shouldn’t try to. They’re already more miserable than any misery you could inflict upon them.
There’s a saying that’s popular in the Muslim world:
Don’t wrestle with pigs, because they’re filthy, and because they like it.
Not one to quote Islamists, but it’s applicable.
Leftists are angry, envious, ineffective, blaming, nosy and worst of all: voraciously power and status-seeking. They admire education, experts and flimsy government apparatchik functionaries religiously. To wit: A leftist bureaucrat cannot be bad, because they mean well. If everyone finds out they don’t actually mean well they might find out I don’t actually mean well.
While they preach peace, understanding, generosity and non-judgmentalism, they are:
- Prone to violence and anger
- Logically baffled
- Selfish & Stingy
- Practically unhelpful to themselves and others
- More judgmental than the conservatives they once railed against.
BUT THERES GOOD NEWS!
They are miserable, increasing their misery daily and there is nothing you can do to them that they are not already doing to themselves, more effectively and efficiently than you could.
They hate themselves, they hate their country, hate their family and hate any ideas of anything bigger than they are. We’ll get to this narcissism soon, as all roads lead there.
They believe their Rube Goldberg Device political ideas will somehow work, this time, finally, but most of all it’ll bring them glory, ego validation. Their ability to see beyond the normal presentation of things will finally be rewarded— they were right all along, all of this sunk costs misery was worthwhile after all!
But most importantly they want money and power. Tell me what you hate and i’ll tell you what you are. They hate rich powerful people because they deeply, painfully want power and riches. Whereas sane people see the pitfalls and problems inherent in having money and power they only see the benefits and leverage.
Can God make a stone so heavy that he cannot lift it?
There are no stones too heavy for the leftist to lift, but many that are too light.
Note that the leftist in your life is not concerned with their own family, friends, neighborhood or town (unless they can profit from it) but only with subjects and concepts too broad and vast for the common mortal:
- Global warming / Climate Change
- Vast Wealth Inequality
- Systemic Racism
- Civil Rights (as long as you agree with them)
A thought experiment you can try with a leftist you know:
Ask them where do they see themselves in this socialist, communist, leftist utopia. What will you do when your most preferred system is finally realized?
They’ll tell you that they’ll be a designer of uniforms, a director of state party films, a leader of the poor, wretched aimless and misguided subjects.. they never talk about the factories, the farms, the gulags… Now sure, if paid enough and given enough ego validation they’d do any job for the movement, but that’s not where the leftist sees themselves in the utopian revolution. Somehow, it’s always in a place of power, control and financial overcompensation.
Now how does this work out in the real world? This must all be some crackpot theory, right?
- The Communist politburo of China, the CCP is worth $145 Trillion . A lowly water boss of the southern Guangdong province was found with $80M in Yuan and foreign currency in his extra home.
- The Castros, after leading the revolution against the corrupt, rich oligarchs are now worth $900M
- Venezuela’s Chavez family? The leader of the Campesinos? Hugo was worth $1B, his daughter Maria improved this, and is now worth $4.2B.
Somehow, leftists all around the world believe that because they think such good, humane thoughts that they’re entitled to vast riches and power. They don’t hate others because they are rich and powerful, they hate them because they themselves are not rich and powerful.
